Lincoln City Libraries partners with Healing Heart Therapy Dogs to offer the community a unique reading opportunity. This program encourages children ages 5 - 12 to build confidence, vocabulary and fluency by reading to a Reading Education Assistance Dog (R.E.A.D) trained therapy dog or cat. Therapy pets and their human are partnered with children who read in 15-minute shifts once a week for six weeks. This session runs September 16 - October 21.
