Description Join us for a special lecture by Larry Buller, going more in-depth on his show at LUX Center, Gaze: Jockstraps, Bunnies and the Divine, and his current practice. In this artist lecture, Larry Buller shares how the objects he collects and lives with inform his richly ornamented ceramic work. Drawing on religious imagery, historic ceramics, and gay male visual culture, he explores how objects carry meanings of beauty, desire, authority, and reverence. Speaking as a gay man from the Great Plains, he considers how familiar forms and unexpected combinations open space for lives and desires traditionally left out.
