Knipple is a punkjazz duo from Tulsa OK comprising of JordanK, (bass/whale sounds) and

Knicholas (drums/emotions). A funky friendship forged in the shadows of “frontmen” and

“singers” and “lead instruments,” Knipple (pronounced kuh-nipple) cut their teeth as a

rhythm section for hire for over fifteen years in the Tulsa music scene, but now they’re

bringing the bass and drums back to the front of the stage where they belong. Along the

way, the duo set about learning to loop, play multiple instruments, experimenting with

musical games, and trying new ways of engaging their audience. Using a mixture of

sing-alongs, nod-alongs, and dance-alongs, a Knipple show is full of twists, turns, and

will-they-won’t-they musical tension and release. Refusing to be pinned down to any one

genre, their style is eclectic and fluid and reflects their love of many kinds of music.

Today, Knipple is the embodied once-in-a-lifetime musical relationship between two

good friends, committed to creativity, collaboration, and fun for everyone, one high-five

at a time!
